Wes & Cindy founded Communitas International’s original Glasgow church plant and now lead its newest ~Upper Room Church. They serve in preaching, worship and pastoral roles.

Wes also serves as Communitas’ Theological lead and teaches at the Scottish School of Christian Mission. Cindy leads various women’s Bible study groups and is involved with pastoral care & worship ministry. The White’s also hosted Upper Room Church in their flat for 4 years before its move to Re:Hope Church on Thursday evenings.

The Whites have 5 children, only one at home, and 5 grandchildren.

Carol and Mike Kurtyka have been in Europe since 2002 and were part of the team that launched Communitas’ original church plant in Glasgow. They have three children; Harrison & Lily who are in university and Sophie who is in high school.

Mike is a trustee with CAI UK and is a member of the UK Advancement Team. He also supports Upper Room church through a varied ministry to asylum seekers and refugees. Carol supports youth and women’s ministries and is actively involved in one­-to-­one discipleship and providing hospitality for the many activities around Communitas & Upper Room Church.
