New to Upper Room?
Greetings!
Come as you are…
Whether you are a strong believer in Christ, or simply seeking truth and exploring the Christian faith for the first time, you are warmly welcome at Upper Room Church. Come to one of our services and you’ll be greeted by friendly faces at the door, welcomed in for a tea or coffee, and can find a seat or meet one of the pastors who will be wandering around. Our community is far from perfect, and we come from different backgrounds and cultures; we are all on a journey of learning from Jesus, so no need to put on a pretense or try and fit in. Just come as you are, for that is how Christ Himself invites us.
What to expect…
Everything in our church services is translated from English to Farsi or Farsi to English. These services include worship through music (both Persian and Western music), corporate prayer, and teaching from the Bible. We alternate weeks between serving the Lord’s Supper (a.k.a. Communion or Eucharist) and a large Persian meal, which is free, although donations are welcome. The Lord’s Supper is open to anyone that has received Christ in their heart or is genuinely seeking Him. We do not require baptism or membership to our church in order to take communion.
May God bless you,
Pastor Jake
